During your initial site visit we will take into account a myriad of factors that will be considered in calculating your quote.

Factors we take into account include:

  • Overall scope of the project.

  • Proximity to structures, fences and other obstacles.

  • The number of “targets” below the tree or along the drag path, such as sensitive plants and flowers.

  • The distance from the tree to the processing area and other equipment.

  • Tree accessibility for climbing or aerial lifts.

  • Overall condition of tree.

  • Equipment needed to safely complete the project.

Why is it important to maintain our trees?

Maintaining our trees increases property values and allows our communities to safely enjoy the canopies without fear of limbs falling from above. We all can agree that the beauty of the Portland area and the Northwest is heightened by the lush green canopy of our conifers and deciduous trees. Pruning urban trees is the first step homeowners and caretakers can take for promoting healthy trees. SHADE! Shade is also a huge benefit for maintaining temperatures in the soil and in our homes, reducing the cost of expensive cooling bills in the hot summer. Healthy habitats and a diverse landscape promote sustainable urban ecosystems.

We need to encourage our neighbors and community to be thinking about tree health maintenance to be better equipped for the upcoming challenges of urban development and climate change.

Samsara - I sam-saw-ra I

Samsara carries many different meanings. A Sanskrit word which refers to the circuitous change of from birth, death, decay and rebirth with the ambition to heighten consciousness. At Samsara Tree Care we believe that the actions that are put forth in one life can have lasting impacts on the lives of others and ourselves in both direct and indirect ways.
With this in mind, the field of arbor culture can express this process of life and death in trees. As stewards we can develop a greater appreciation of the importance of living among and maintaining tree health. We feel that future generations will greatly benefit from arboreal care and as we become more conscientious about caring for our trees we can witness this process in more detail.
